Universal Pre-Kindergarten
The NECSD Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed to develop school readiness and facilitate a greater success with your child’s transition from preschool, kindergarten and early elementary education.

- Daily schedules with a balance of intentionally planned, active and quiet play, gross motor activities, as well as individual and small group activities

Pre-Kindergarten Registration is open
- The Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program is for children that meet the age requirement. Your child must be age four (4) on or before December 1 of the current year.
- The Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program is available for established residents residing within the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. Residency verification documentation will be required. This also includes families who will be attending our Community Based UPK Partner Organizations.
- Students are placed based upon a zoning requirement. It is NOT a come first served process.
- You will choose a preference of program within the application process
