NFA Girls Swimming Team Gives Back to Our Community

The NFA Girls Swimming Team participated in two events this weekend, giving back to their community. On Saturdays, the team volunteers for the Newburgh Armory Unity Center's swim program. The team has developed great relationships with children who attend and those children look forward to them being their instructors! On Sunday, the team took part in the annual Breast Cancer Walk at Woodbury Commons. The NFA Girls Swim team is coached by Patrick Kavanaugh.

This team has learned to be adaptable as they eagerly await upgrades to the NFA Swimming pool. The team has been generously welcomed by area swim teams Valley Central and Cornwall High School to stay up to date with their practices. Mount Saint Mary College has also opened their facilities at a cost to the district.
