Temple Hill Academy Artists Advances in School Bus Safety Poster Contest
The New York Association for Pupil Transportation Poster Contest in conjunction with the New York State Department of Education conducts the annual New York School Bus Safety Poster Contest. The theme for 2024 was “Driving Safely Into the Future.” Students in Miss Dutcher’s middle school art classes were encouraged to participate. Miss Dutcher submitted the posters to Patricia Coyne, the Transportation Director for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. Posters were then judged at the local level and a winner was selected. The 1st Place Winner was Aurora Tomer. Monday 2/12/24 she received her award and a copy of her poster that will now be sent on to be judged at the State level. If she wins there, her poster will go on to be judged nationally. We are so excited to celebrate her achievement. Featured photos: Aurora’s winning poster design; Patricia Coyne, Aurora and Miss Falyn Dutcher.
