PSA | Meadow Hill Road Bridge Replacement Project Information Session

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that it will hold a public information session regarding the replacement of the Meadow Hill Road bridge over the New York State Thruway (I-87) in the Town of Newburgh from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.
Built in 1953, the bridge is at the end of its service life and will be replaced with a new structure. Safety improvements on the new bridge will include replacing the deteriorating bridge deck, steel, and substructure, widening its shoulders, adding a sidewalk, installing new bridge railings, and increasing the vertical clearance over the Thruway by more than two feet to 16 feet 10 inches.
The public information session will include several renderings and information boards on display, and representatives from the Thruway Authority will be available to answer questions about the project.
