NECSD Distributes 100 Holiday Meal Preparations to Families in Need
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District distributed 100 turkeys with various sides to families in need ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Coordinated by the Family and Community Engagement Team (FACE) and with the help of dozens of students and employees volunteering their time, this distribution helped families in need the opportunity to have a meal with their family this holiday.
Generous donations to make this distribution possible were provided by the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Affinity Healthcare, Health First, and the Newburgh Free Library's Diabetes Awareness Program.
Meal preparations were distributed on a referral basis. If you feel as though you qualify, please contact Ms. Kori Rogers, the district's McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison at krogers@necsd.net or (845) 568-6846.
