Meadow Hill Middle School Scholars Participate in STEM Challenge
Middle schoolers at Meadow Hill completed a cross curricular STEM challenge this week. Sixth grade students learned about catapults in social studies, completed a how to writing piece in ELA, designed functioning catapults in science, and, finally, collected and organized their data into graphs in math. Each student received 12 popsicle sticks, 6 rubber bands, 1 bottle cap, and 1 spoon to build a catapult that could launch a marshmallow the furthest. Students collaborated by providing feedback to each other along the way.
